Microsoft released new Windows updates yesterday. Looking at the list of updates this month there are none remotely exploitable externally (from outside the VPS) with the default configuration of our VPS. Nevertheless, there are some important updates to protect against local vulnerabilities including the usual cumulative update for Internet Explorer and Edge web browsers.
Please note those of you who run Outlook for email either at home or on your VPS an issue is being reported with updates KB3097877 and/or KB3101746. If you happen to use Outlook you might want to consider holding off updating for a few days or a week to see if Microsoft re-releases the updates. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/482486ba-a378-4dcd-bd21-08ae19760b93/crashes-since-111115-updates-in-both-outlook-2010-and-2013-when-viewing-html-emails?forum=officeitproprevious
You can update your VPS by going to “Control Panel > Windows Update”. We recommend updating over weekends only and rebooting after.
